SMART Conditions of Use

Resources included in the Seating and Mobility Academic Resource Toolkit (SMART) are shared for the purpose of supporting the provision of wheelchair education into rehabilitation programs, such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, prosthetics & orthotics and community-based rehabilitation. All materials are copyright protected, whether open source or developed by a professor in a university setting. Any and all use of the resources found on this website must acknowledge the original source. Any modified versions of the resources (e.g., to enhance context-specificity) must acknowledge the original source and modifications must be described. Any translation of materials, not provided by the developers, is the responsibility of local users and the original version/source must be acknowledged. Materials must not be sold or a ‘fee for use’ charged.

Cite resources: Contributors are requested to add their university logo, contributors’ name (first and last with salutations) and the date (month and year) in the header of all the documents that you would like to share.

Instructions on how to use the Search filter

The filters are categorized based on the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) 8 steps and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)  

As a first step, when you click on the + sign next to the categories listed, the list expands (to shorten the list, you may click on – sign next to the expanded categories) and you can select the checkbox next to any topic. You will see the checkbox change to after you click on the checkbox. You may select multiple checkboxes and then click on ‘Apply filters’ button towards the end. The resources as per your selection will be listed on the left side of the page. You may click on the link of the resource to view or download.

To make a new search, you may click on the ‘Clear All Filters’ link below the ‘Apply Filters’ button to clear your previous selections.

Contributing your resources

If you would like to contribute your resources to SMART then please upload the documents in the form below. We also request you to confirm the following before uploading:

  1. Cite resources: Contributors are requested to add their university logo, contributors’ name (first and last with salutations) and the date (month and year) in the header of all the documents that you would like to share.
  2. File names: Contributors are requested to name all the files according to this nomenclature (if you need help, please contact Krithika Kandavel at [email protected]).
  3. Consent Form: Contributors are requested to sign the consent form and upload with other documents.
